Tara and Noémie
French Photographer Noémie Ventura has been exhibiting her work since 1998. She has been published in France, Spain, the UK, Germany, Portugal, the US, Brazil, Australia and South Africa. Her work has been exhibited and sold in various places such as art galleries, a sky observatory in the Pyrenees, cafes, music venues, surfing world championship tour competitions and various corporate and charity
events. She has worked with magazines, bands, clothing companies and charities such as Surfrider Foundation Europe.
Noémie has also featured on several musical projects with various friends. She did a live performance with French post-rock band Poney Club, screening her pictures live on stage. Her work includes portraits of professional surfers, skateboarders, snowboarders and BMX bikers, tibetan refugees living in refugee camps in India and Nepal, musicians and animals. She has made a point of working with animals the same way she does with people: by trying to capture a glimpse of their soul, through their eyes. She thinks that there is no such thing as a "dead object", and she also very much enjoys taking portraits of a tree, a stone, a leaf, a mushroom, a cliff, a flower, a cloud, a stream, a wave, the sea, a yew berry, a toy or even a car! She calls "landscapes" atmospheric pictures of nothing in particular, just an image of the present time.
Noémie has been an animal lover ever since she can remember. She spends as much time as possible around animals, connecting with them telepathically. She sometimes facilitates Animal Communication workshops. She documents her adventures communicating with animals, and the profoundly important messages we can receive when we focus with our hearts HERE and on her youtube channel. On a cow's request, she is currently working on her first book which will be about Cows.
She is also doing a Yoga Teacher Training with the British Wheel of Yoga and is Home Educating her 4 and half year old son. You can read about their adventures on her blog.
"To me Photography and Animal Communication have a lot in common. They are both so empowering that I think that every young student should learn them both. It gets people out of the house and gets them to think and interact with Nature, other beings and the world around them."
Her other interests are: yoga, animals, landart, gardening, cooking, music, clouds, knitting, foraging wild foods, her daily walks in the woods with her dog Tara and just spending as much time as possible in Nature.
She currently lives in Ashdown Forest (UK) with her multi-species family.
Her pictures are available for sale, and she has published a few series of postcards, which will be all on line here soon.
