I was going through all the pictures I have taken for the last 10 days and this picture stands out. Perhaps it's because in just one year's time, I have already seen a few generations of piglets being born, growing up and going to slaughter... I have enjoyed their company a lot. It's always really nice to be around them, they are such good fun and when they are a bit older there is nothing they like better than nibbling on your limbs :) I wish they had more time to enjoy just "being" without having to serve a purpose, to be a commodity... I know they too will have to go in a few months time but I make sure that we thoroughly enjoy every single minute we get to spend with them. If I was running the farm no one would ever have to leave and a lot less babies would be brought into the world... maybe, one day, I'll some land to start my own Farm Sanctuary and rescue a lot of farm animals. People would come and stay just to spend some healing time amongst the animals, just watching them and being with them :)
