only expect the unexpected

Hi,

time is going too fast... one week ago i was still in london... now today, one week later i am back, the pix are already developped and somewhere on the internet... and i am now working on a new week, new pics, a next step...maybe new places to go... well i may go to Prague on thursday... nothing is sure yet, it depends on if Extreme World News send me there or not, for the Mystic sk8 Cup... i'd love to go there, i was told it was really beautiful...
i've spent two days checking prices of plane tickets and accomodations for this trip to prague... waoaw!! i didn't know prague was that much expensive!!!
the hotels cost a lot, like 142 € for a single room... well the guy is ok to make me a discount, like 126€ (thanks!)... i thought it was really cheaper. that's why i am not sure to go there yet. it's more expensive than what we've expected!
well usually this is my motto "only expect the unexpected", but i really prefer when the unexpected is a good new, i don't like it when it's a 142 € for a single room!!

back from London, oil in the ocean and Culture in danger in France...

Hi

i come back from a sk8 event in London, and from a couple of days in my dark room developping the pictures i took there. well i know, there is no skate boarding category on my website yet but i am working on it!!!
i am going to make a selection to create a skate boarding/ bmx category... which hopefully should be on line quite soon...
Extreme World News, a new british magazine has used a lot of my images of the Bowlriders in its second issue... it is a free magazine, if you want to have one, send me an email with your address and i'll try to get you one (but you'll have to pay the postage...)
this week end in London was really cool... i didn't get the time to visit or hang around downtown, but the London atmosphere is very nice!
i stayed at my friend Gina's flat, in Willesden Green and it's such a nice quiet place! i really like it... but we have spent our entires days on the comp area, in the Dome.
i am going to add some new pix to the web site soon... some new images of Laudanum, which gave such a very great show last week in Paris, and some pictures of Poney Club, a very good band playing a kind of post - rock music (well i don't like that expression neither, but it seems that's what it is!!)...
and i am going to add some new stuffs in the Seen on Earth category... but you'll see!
i am a bit afraid for the surf competitions who are supposed to take place in south west of france and spain this summer ... a surf event has been cancelled last week end in France because of a new arrival of oil... this is really too bad!
it's such a mess right now in France! there are oil in the ocean and the Culture is really in danger... some decisions were voted yesterday night, to change the social status of the people who work in the spectacle... all the actors, musicians, technicians who work on plays, musical stuffs, movies...are now in a real mess! the half of them will have to stop to be an artist to find a "real job"... because they can't no longer afford to have some free time to create new plays/musics/movies... only the most famous and the richer ones will be able to continue ! it's really horrible for the Culture in France!!

the pix of Nepal are on line...

Hi there,

At last!! The pix of my trip in Nepal of last march are on line on my website!

As you may already know, due to a lake of slides scan machine… (see the previous message...) it has took some time to put those pix on line… anyway, here there are!

I’ve also added 2 pictures in the “Seen on Earth Category”… well there are not that new… actually its two pictures I took 4 years ago… (For those who knows: one was taken during the Pure Baballe Festival!!!)… I re found them when I was checking up my films archives!

I hope you’ll like them…

By the way, three of my pictures will be in a photo gallery in Bayonne for 1 month… just in case you’re around, the exhibition takes place from the Thursday 12th June up to the 5th of July 2003, at the Gallerie Mattin, place Saint André, (in le petit Bayonne)…

skateboarding, slides and pastas!

Hi there...
i haven't wrote anything here for ages... sorry!!
so... since the last time, i went in Marseille (south east of france) for the Bowlriders (a sk8boarding contest), i spent 3 days there, with my friend Gina that i hadn't seen since the quiksilver pro france last october... (by the way, if you wanna see a cool picture of her, see the Seen On Earth category of this website!!!) so i was glad to see gina again... i took some pictures there, but there aren't on line on this website yet...
by the way! the pix of my trip in Nepal are on the good way to be on line quiet soon! i found a place where they do scan slides on cd, it's not so expensive and it's ok ...BUT...it's not that easy!
i gave them 30 slides last friday. i was supposed to have them back, with the cd, on the day after... the saturday. I went there, took my cd, came at home, put the cd on in my computer... and... some stuffs was awful in there!! it seems their scan machine has trouble with red colours!! all the reds were... very... intense!!!!!!! and on the pictures in the tibetan monastry, the dresses of the monks were very... loudly garished! and the faces of people was... orange, but pumpkin orange!
so i took them back the cd and the slides, they were supposed to scan the slides again and to try to level the machine. it was supposed to be done for the evening, the same day. i came back, but it wasn't ready. i came back the day after... on tuesday(yesterday)... and... (i am not making it up! it has really happened!!) their scan machine is now broken and they don't know when it will be repaired! they'll give me a call, but they don't have any idea of when. so as you see, there are some kind of bad spells on these nepal pictures...
maybe i should give up to try to find a way to put them on my website!!! no!! i won't!! and i am ver pig-headed!!!!!! and they should be careful because wonderwoman is a good friend of mine and i am going to call her so she's gonna kick their ass, with her magic lasso/whip!!!
so as i told you, it's on the good way to be on line soon... it's now depending on wonder woman and ... the Agfa technical services!!!
i've spent 2 weeks to work on my pix from the Bowlriders... i made the developping and the prints very quickly... but it's not that easy to be published in sk8boarding magazines...they have the bad habit to receive free submissions from their readers, so they are used to do not pay people who submit them their pix... i should have some pix in a british free magazine, named Extreme World News... they are about to run their 2nd issue... and it's a good magazine. i am happy to be a part of it... i know that usually i never talk about the magazines who use my pix here, but i thought it was something to write here today... that it won't sound like an advertise, because it's not! i am just glad to be in a new magazine to be in it since the beginning... now we'll see where it goes!
i am happy because on a french vegan forum, some guys gave me the receipe of vegan cheese!!! that's really cool, because i sometimes missed cheese on my pastas!!! (yeah!! i love pastas!!!)
