new kid on the blog

Hi there,
Here is my first news posted on my blog... as you have may noticed it has replaced my "journal"... actually i am now thinking on a new way to put the archives of my journal online somewhere here... but does it really matter?? mm i dunno...
This website has been off line for some hours recently.. because it was moving on a new host... so i am sorry for the inconvenience you may have met, trying to visit it... (so if you are reading that... it means you came back, thanks!!)

My new pics of the surf comps of last summer gonna be on line on this website pretty soon... actually i do have a lot of stuffs to add on it... new pix of india, sk8, england, surf... there are new pics to add for every category!!!i hope it'll be on line before i leave to go to the french step of the surf world championship tour... i am leaving on sunday (yes, this sunday!!) and i'll be out, working on the wct for around 2 weeks... but i'll keep on posting stuffs on this blogg during this time... and hopefully i'll come back with more stuffs to put on line (if i am not eaten by a giant dinosaur or if the insects haven't done their coup they are working on for such a long time...)

I know ... i say the new pix of this summer gonna be online soon for ages... so here is this line up picture, as a starter.. to thank all of you for your patience to come back again and again... and you can see some new pics which are not "officially" on my website yet in the médiathéque of this blogg (just click on the small picture in the
middle...) these images were taken during my last trip in England, last july.... i went on a sk8 comp in London ;in Porthtowan (Kernow... i mean Cornwall) for a while and to the Boardmasters, in Newquay.

By the way you can email me your email adress so i'll add you on my mailing list, if you wanna be told when there are new pix online..

"there is no excuse for animal abuse"

hello.... still locked in my dark room... still working on the pix i took last month on the surf comps in south west of france... it should be on line soon... i am listening to NIN a lot on my mp3/cd player while i am developping the prints ... (by the way if i haven't mentionned it before: NIN is one of my favourite band)... quite interesting energy, actually my favourite when i am working... so a lot of new pix should be added soon on my website...mostly portraits... and a lot of stuffs gonna change, new host, new categories, a blogg... but i already told you about that in my previous news... the demonstration of last wednesday was quite interesting... i really hope the government gonna change the laws to forbide animals in circuses... it's useless and really cruel... i am really wondering what is the point of keeping wild animals in captivity, carrying them all the time in narrow cages, hurting them to humiliate them in public... to make money??? yes probably... but is it a good excuse ??? is it enough to torture animals as they do?? (because they really do!! just have to see the weapon they use for the training of elephants... really sharp!!) so please, i beg you to do not go to watch any show of circuses that make money on animals suffering... just don't go to see their show, don't give them a cent... just prefer animals free circuses... it's so much more creative!!

a blog and a bunch of new pictures soon...

hectic but still alive... busy but chilling out... yes i know it sounds weird but it's true actually...
i am gonna have a blog soon so this journal should be updated more often... i'll post updates by sms and i will post pictures or whatever i want to illustrate my messages.. it's gonna be wicked...
so to sum up my last month...
i went back in england: london - porthtowan - newquay - London... that was cool. kernow is an amazing place... i stayed there with my friend gina at sarah bentley and marcus flat in porthtowan... in a very nice and quiet village nearby the ocean... just wonderful!! but the water is frozen there!! you must have a wetsuit to go surfing or swimming.
after that i went shooting at the boardmasters in newquay... windy, rainy... i was told it's become just sunny and so perfect just after i left... of course!!

then i stayed locked in my dark room in the heat (the temperatures were incredibly hot last august here!!)... working on the pictures i took in england... and i almost died: no air, just staying locked in a room full of chemicals... it was pretty hard to work in these conditions...
then i drove down to the south west of france for the wqs comps (surfing events, in lacanau and in seignosse) i stayed almost 3 weeks in my van, i took 21 rolls... and i am now working on these images. Well the only thing i can say now is that there are a lot (but really A LOT!) of portraits... i think i am gonna make a big gallery portraits of the pro surfers on my website. it should be on line.... well, hopefully soon!!!!
as usual i had a ton of idea so the website should change soon... as usual: new categories, new pictures, quotes... and the blogg!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (thank you so much to the brain, Bounwawa Hutchison!!!!)

i have been working on a cd with all my pics of india, nepal and the tibetan refugee camps as well during the last 3 days for a british mag quite famous in the uK named TNT... well if you have grabbed one yesterday, you might have seen one of my picture... they used one of my photographs of the tibetan refugee camps in the issue of this week... i should receive it soon. i also have some images in the new Extreme World News... i haven't seen it yet, but i think they have used some of my pictures from the snickers game on in london (a sk8 - bmx event) and the pics i took of the oil on the french beaches last winter... well i think that's all i have in magazines this week...
tomorrow i am going to paris, to demonstrate against the use and abuse of/on animals in circus... the demonstration should start at 2 pm in front of the ministère de l'écologie, 20 avenue segur, dans le 07éme arrondissement...
